Human Rights Day is observed on 10 December, the anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948.

How you can take part

  • Read about the rights every person is entitled to.
  • Stand up against discrimination based on caste, religion, gender or disability.
  • Help people reach free legal aid - the NALSA helpline is 15100.
