Acceptance of these terms
These terms apply to your use of the website of Prerit Welfare Foundation, a nonprofit organisation based in New Delhi, India, and to the online services offered on it, including donations, accounts, applications and forms. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Donation & Refund Policy.
Using the website
You agree to use the website lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- submit false information, impersonate another person or apply on someone's behalf without their permission;
- attempt to access accounts, data or areas of the website that you are not authorised to use, or interfere with its security or operation;
- upload files containing viruses or harmful code, or content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory or that violates someone's privacy;
- use automated tools to send messages, create accounts or collect information from the website;
- use the foundation's name, logo or content to collect money, offer jobs or make any representation on our behalf.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Please give accurate details and keep them up to date. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms, for fraud or to harm others. You can ask us to close your account at any time, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Donations
- Donations are voluntary contributions and are not payment for goods or services.
- Online donations are processed by our payment gateway. A donation is treated as received only after the payment gateway confirms it and our system verifies it; receipts are issued only for verified donations.
- Tax benefits, such as a deduction under Section 80G, are available only if the foundation holds the relevant registration, as shown on the NGO Details page.
- Donations to a campaign are used for that campaign's purpose; how funds are used if a campaign is over- or under-funded is explained in the Donation & Refund Policy, which also covers refunds.
- Amounts raised shown on the website include verified donations only.
Applications, volunteering and certificates
- The foundation never charges any fee for applications, interviews, joining, training or certificates.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee selection. Selection is at the foundation's discretion, based on its needs and the suitability of applicants.
- Information in applications must be true and complete. We may withdraw an offer or end an association if information is found to be false.
- Volunteers, volunteer teachers and interns must follow the Volunteer Policy and the Child Protection Policy.
- Certificates are issued only for verified participation and remain the record of the foundation. Altering or misusing a certificate is not permitted.
Content and intellectual property
The name and logo of Prerit Welfare Foundation, and the text, graphics and photographs on this website, belong to the foundation or are used with permission. You may share pages and quote short extracts for non-commercial purposes with a link to the source. Any other use requires our written permission.
Photographs of people are published only with their consent (and for children, the consent of a parent or guardian). If you believe content on the website should be removed, please contact us.
When you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve our work. We publish testimonials only with the express consent of the person concerned.
Third-party services and links
The website uses third-party services such as the Razorpay payment gateway, embedded videos and maps, and may link to other websites, including government portals for welfare schemes. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of other websites.
Accuracy of information
We work to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, including information about welfare schemes, which we link to official sources. However, information may change, and scheme rules are decided by the authorities concerned. Please verify important details with the official source before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
The website is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, the foundation is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the website, from temporary unavailability, or from reliance on information on third-party websites. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Fraud and impersonation
The foundation communicates only through the contact details published on this website. We never ask for OTPs, passwords or card details, and we never ask for money to be paid into personal accounts. If someone uses our name to ask for money or personal information, please do not respond and report it on the Report Fraud page.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms from time to time; the date of the latest update is shown at the end of this page. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at New Delhi shall have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them.
