Overview

When women grow, families and communities grow

Many women in underserved communities have skills and ambition but lack training, access to savings and credit, or the confidence to speak up at home and in the community.

Our Women Empowerment programme helps women take the next step. We offer skill training that can lead to an income, help women come together in Self-Help Groups to save and support each other, and run sessions on legal rights, financial literacy and safe digital banking.

Sessions are held at times and places that suit women, in a safe and respectful environment.

  • Limited access to skill training and income opportunities
  • Little control over savings and household finances
  • Low awareness of legal rights and entitlements
  • Few safe spaces to learn and share

Leadership & confidence

Workshops that help women speak up, take part in community decisions and become role models for others.

How we work

Our approach

Every activity follows a simple, accountable process.

  1. 1

    Listen first

We meet women in their communities to understand their interests, time constraints and goals.

  2. 2

    Build the group

Women come together in small groups for training, savings and peer support.

  3. 3

    Train & practise

Hands-on sessions build skills step by step, with plenty of practice.

  4. 4

    Grow together

We stay in touch to support groups and individual women as they put their skills to use.
