Welfare schemes

Know the schemes meant for you

Central and state governments run many welfare schemes for education, health, women, livelihoods, housing, social security and more. Yet many eligible families never benefit, because they do not know about a scheme or find the application process difficult.

This directory explains selected schemes in simple language – who can apply, the benefits, the documents usually needed and how to apply – with a link to the official source for each one. A scheme is published here only after our team has checked its details against the official source, and the date of that check is shown on every scheme.

Our volunteers can also help you understand a scheme and guide you through the application, free of charge.

  • Simple explanations with a link to the official source
  • The date of the last check shown on every scheme
  • Free guidance from our volunteers
