Verification

How a donation is verified

    Secure payment

    The donor pays on Razorpay secure checkout.

  2. 2

    Signature check

    Our server checks the payment signature with our secret key.

  3. 3

    Gateway confirmation

    We fetch the payment from Razorpay and match order, amount and currency.

  4. 4

    Counted & receipted

    Only then is the donation counted and its receipt issued.

Good governance

Our financial practices

  • Every online payment is verified with the payment gateway before it is counted
  • Offline donations are counted only after they are matched with the bank statement
  • Campaign expenses are recorded with supporting bills and approved before publication
  • The person who records an expense does not approve it
  • Every change to donations, receipts and expenses is recorded in an audit log
  • Donor information is kept confidential and never sold or shared

Transparency questions

Why are some figures shown as a dash?
We show only verified data. A dash means nothing has been verified for that item yet - we never show estimates.
When do offline donations appear?
Bank transfers, cheques and cash donations appear after our finance team has matched them with the bank statement and recorded them.
Where can I see how a campaign used its funds?
Each campaign page lists its approved expenses, and the Utilisation Reports page shows all campaigns together.
