About the programme

AI for everyone, used responsibly

Artificial intelligence is changing how people learn, work and access services. This programme introduces AI in simple language and shows how it can be used thoughtfully - at school, at work and in community service.

Sessions are planned for beginners and need no technical background. Participants see what AI tools can and cannot do, practise with freely available tools, and discuss the questions AI raises about privacy, bias, misinformation and fairness.

Wherever possible, sessions are built around real community needs - such as preparing learning material, translating information into local languages or organising information for a local project - so that what people learn can be put to use.

  • Explain what AI is, in clear and simple language
  • Practise using generative AI tools for learning and everyday tasks
  • Build habits of safe, responsible and honest use of AI
  • Encourage ideas that use AI to solve local community problems
