How to recognise fraud

People sometimes misuse the names of charities to cheat others. These are common warning signs.

Money to personal accounts

Requests to send a donation to a personal bank account, UPI ID or QR code shared by phone, WhatsApp or social media.

Fees for jobs or internships

Any "registration", "training", "uniform" or "certificate" fee for a job, internship or volunteering. We never charge such fees.

OTPs and passwords

Requests for an OTP, password, PIN, card number or screen-sharing. We will never ask for these.

Pressure and urgency

Messages that rush you to pay immediately, threaten consequences or promise rewards in return for money.

Look-alike websites and profiles

Websites, pages or accounts that copy our name or logo but use different contact details.

Fake receipts or letters

Receipts, certificates or appointment letters that do not come from our official system or email.
