Overview

A healthy planet for healthy communities

Polluted air, unmanaged waste and the loss of green spaces affect everyone – but the poorest communities often feel the impact first.

Our Environment Protection programme brings people together to care for their surroundings. We organise tree plantation and cleanliness drives, promote waste segregation and reduction, and encourage simple sustainable habits at home, in schools and in neighbourhoods.

Plantation drives are followed by care for the saplings, because planting a tree is only the beginning.

  • Waste that is not segregated or managed
  • Shrinking green cover in cities and villages
  • Low awareness of simple sustainable habits
  • Health problems linked to unclean surroundings

How we work

Our approach

Every activity follows a simple, accountable process.

  1. 1

    Choose the site & need

We identify locations and issues together with residents, schools and local bodies.

  2. 2

    Bring volunteers together

Drives are announced in advance and volunteers are briefed on the activity and on safety.

  3. 3

    Act together

Plantation, clean-up or awareness activities are carried out with the community.

  4. 4

    Care & follow up

Saplings are looked after and good habits are encouraged long after the drive.

Yes. Write to us with the location and the kind of activity you have in mind, and we will plan it with you.
