FAQs
Questions about campaigns
Why does the amount raised only include verified donations?
A donation is counted only after our server has confirmed the payment with Razorpay, or after our finance team has matched an offline donation with the bank statement. Pending or failed payments are never included, so the figures you see are real.
What happens if a campaign receives more than it needs?
We will explain in a campaign update how any extra amount is used for closely related work. If you prefer, you can give to the general fund, which is used where it is needed most.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. A receipt is issued for every verified donation and the link is emailed to you. Signed-in donors can also download receipts from their dashboard at any time.
Can I donate to a completed campaign?
Completed campaigns no longer accept donations. You can support an active campaign or make a general donation.
How do I know how the money was used?
Each campaign page shows its updates and the expenses approved by our finance team. You can also see all campaigns on the Utilisation Reports page.
