About this day

World Cancer Day, led by the Union for International Cancer Control, is observed on 4 February to raise awareness of cancer prevention, early detection and treatment.

How you can take part

  • Avoid tobacco in all forms and limit alcohol.
  • Know the early warning signs and go for recommended screenings.
  • Support patients and their families in your community.
