World Water Day, observed by the United Nations on 22 March since 1993, focuses on the importance of fresh water and on safe water and sanitation for all.

How you can take part

  • Fix leaking taps and pipes at home.
  • Harvest rainwater and reuse water where you can.
  • Keep ponds, wells and rivers free of waste.
